IAE V2500 Jet Engine
Given a few images and an old schematic I built this V200 Jet Engine using NURBS in Maya. Besides the amount of painful modeling, a complete history of the topology was maintained for morphing and creating an animated peel back of the outer casing. There were many internal parts that had to be pulled out and analyzed. I comped the final Mental Ray renders and overlays in After Effects. The Finished movie was displayed at the Paris Air show.
